The brief
Launch SwissQual's new flagship product – the Benchmarker II – at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. But in such a niche industry, where technology is closely guarded, interest had to be generated from potential buyers without revealing too much to the competition.
My work
I designed a 'Special Operations' look to reinforce the secretive feel of the new product. Stylised 'dark' product photography was shot at SwissQual's HQ in Switzerland, and used throughout the pre-release video, microsite and printed materials. At Mobile World Congress the campaign theme extended to a bespoke stand design where I included a 'top-secret' back area. Only here could approved delegates be the first to view the new product up close – but only via a pre-sent unique visitor code to identify them.
The result
SwissQual's international sales team exceeded their target expectations during the week-long event, actually securing over €3m worth of orders from global phone network providers.
"Shall we hug it up?"
I even met Spencer Kelly whilst he was filming a segment for BBC Click. After I asked him for a photo, he asked, “Shall we hug it up?". Top bloke :)
